Women Fashion Punk Hair Trend Color

Women Fashion Punk Hair Trend Color
Punk fashion is the clothing, hairstyles, cosmetics, jewelry, and body modifications of the punk subculture. Punk fashion varies widely, ranging from Vivienne Westwood designs to styles modeled on bands like The Exploited. The distinct social dress of other subcultures and art movements, including glam rock, skinheads, rude boys, greasers, and mods have influenced punk fashion. Punk fashion has likewise influenced the styles of these groups, as well as those of popular culture. Many punks use clothing as a way of making a statement.

Punk fashion has been extremely commercialized at various times, and many well-established fashion designers — such as Vivienne Westwood and Jean Paul Gaultier — have used punk elements in their production. Punk clothing, which was initially handmade, became mass produced and sold in record stores and some smaller specialty clothing stores by the 1980s. Many fashion magazines and other glamor-oriented media have featured classic punk hairstyles and punk-influenced clothing. Hair was cropped and deliberately made to look messy, and was often dyed bright unnatural colors. Although provocative, these hairstyles were not as extreme as later punk hairstyles.

Beautiful portrait, Those who are eager to become real trend-trotters when it comes of alternative hair styles should look through the most stylish punk hair styles. These looks will add a versatile groove to your appearance.

Mohawk Girl Hairstyles

Mohawk Girl Hairstyles
The mohawk is a hairstyle in which, in the most common variety, both sides of the head are shaven, leaving a strip of noticeably longer hair in the center. Though mohawk is associated mostly with punk rock subculture, today it has entered mainstream fashion. The mohawk is also sometimes referred to as an iro in reference to the Iroquois, from whom the hairstyle is derived - though historically the hair was plucked out rather than shaved.

The historic evidence points to the Mohawk and the rest of the Iroqoius confederacy (Seneca, Cayuga, Onandaga, Tuscarura and Onieda) rather wore a square of hair on the back of the crown of the head, and not a crest from forehead to the nape of the neck. Click here  for accurate images of Mohawks and Oniedas 1710-1790 from life drawings, look at Good Peter, Oneida - though he has a true Mohawk, i.e. a square of hair on the back crown of the head. The Mohawk did not shave their heads when creating this square of hair, but rather pulled the hair out, small tufts at a time. The following is a first-hand account of James Smith who was captured during the French and Indian war and adopted into the Mohawk tribe. "...a number of Indians collected about me and one of them began to pull hair out of my head. He had some ashes on a piece of bark in which he frequently dipped his fingers in order to take a firmer hold, and so he went on as if he had been plucking a turkey, until he had all the hair clean out of my head, except a small spot about three or four inches square on my crown the remaining hair was cut and three braids formed which were decorated ...".

If your hair style was spiked or colored, you were a punk. When the eighties approached, rebellion became something like it never was before, and with the birth of MTV, it was easier to spread the rebel punk hair virus. One of the important element in a punk hairstyle is the cut. It can go from a shaggy hair right on top and with a buzz cut found on the lower section of the head. Another one is having asymetrical shapes of hair that are longer on the other side is quite the popular style when it comes to punk hairstyle. There are even those who are die-hard punks that put designs or slogans right at the back of the heads. Sometimes, the shavings that are shown at the back of the heads do represent political standing or trying to voice out their opinions or feelings. When you already have the hair cut, the next stop is the hair color. Your hair will never be classified as punk if you don’t add great color on it. The look might be edgy but will never pass the standards of a punk look. Hair color for punk style involves vibrant colors such as pink, orange, red, and even blue. You can have one color or even a mixture of these colors to come up with a good design or pattern.

The most famous one is having a raven hair that has platinum blond tips. For sure, when talking about punk style what comes to mind is the mohawk. A mohawk look is a style that consists of a strip of hair right at the center that is hardened with the use of a hair spay or a gel which vertically stands right on the end. Usually, the sides of the head are totally shaved off. However, as time passes by the mohawk has tamed a little bit giving birth to what is called as the faux hawk. This type of hairstyle is the tamed version of the mohawk which gives a person a softer look, not rigid at all. This makes you look at your best without even looking quite trashy.

Punk Hair Color Style Fashion

Punk is a look, an attitude, a subculture. Influenced from various cultures, art movements and music scenes,  punk has taken on a life of its own. The punk hairstyle transcends the realm of just styling your hair and becomes a way to express individuality without societal boundaries. The inspiration for the look comes from within. The style may be moody, dark and mysterious. It may be fun, loud and brash. 70's retro is even described by some as punk. The one thing all punk styles have in common is they turn heads.

A bizarre Mohawk, asymmetrical style, shaved scalp or vibrant color can quickly draw attention for someone wanting to get noticed in a conservative society. A punk rock hairstyle can be traced to the distinctive and unusual features.

Deathrock and horror punk fashion is similar to goth fashion. Black is the predominant shade. Deathrock and horror punk incorporates a sexier image, incorporating fishnets, corsets and elaborate make-up for men and women. The use of occult and horror imagery is prevalent on T-shirts, buttons, patches and jewellery. Other common adornments include band names painted on jackets or bleached into clothes, as well as buttons or patches indicating cities. The initials D and R (for Death Rock) is sometimes part of a crossbone logo, accompanied by other initials, such as C and A for California, N and Y for New York, or G and R for Germany. Hair may be in a deathhawk style (a wider teased-out variant of the mohawk hairstyle), an angled bangs style, or a devilock style.
